I realize that exercise can be difficult to fit into your schedule. I have battled myself many times over whether or not I would put in a workout that day.
Here are some ways I've been able to maintain a routine:
1. Find an activity you enjoy! I love kickboxing and don't have too difficult of a time convincing myself to put in a session at the end of a long day.
2. Set a reasonable schedule for yourself. That is, if you're not a morning person, don't schedule a 5 a.m. workout because you will likely not get out of bed!
3. Set a reasonable goal. If you're just getting into running, shoot to run 1 mile instead of 5. Achieving even small goals feels good and keeps you motivated!
4. EVERY WORKOUT COUNTS! Just because it's Thursday and you haven't worked out yet that week, doesn't mean it's a useless workout ~ the calories will still get burned!!
6. Find a workout friend. Choose someone that will be mutually motivating that way you can bring each other up on tough days.

Just keep trying, you will find activities you enjoy and a routine that you can easily maintain. In the meantime, take the steps and park far away from entrances!
